Calling all sewing enthusiasts and beginners alike! Join me for a Bowl Cozies & Coasters Workshop and learn how to make quick, practical, and thoughtful gifts for your loved ones—or yourself! In this fun and interactive class, you'll create bowl cozies to protect your hands and surfaces from heat and condensation, along with matching coasters (or mug rugs) to safeguard your counters and tables.

These versatile projects are perfect for using up fabric scraps or coordinating fat quarters for a polished, cohesive look. No matter your experience level, I’ll guide you every step of the way—all you need to know beforehand is how to run your sewing machine and sew a basic seam.

Workshop Options

• Private Lesson: $79
• Small Group Workshop (up to 8 people): $49/person
• Large Group/Guild Workshop (9+ people): $299 total

Workshops are exclusively available to Union County, Oregon residents.

This class is ideal for kids and adults! Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for safety, and the accompanying adult does not need to register if they're there solely to assist the child.

What’s Included?

The patterns for both cozies and coasters are included with the workshop, so there’s nothing extra to purchase. Once registered, you’ll receive a supply list with everything you’ll need to bring.

Fabric and Notions Requirements:

• Fabric: see the "Supply Lis" picture

• Notions:

  • Thread (100% cotton, no polyester)
  • Walking foot
  • Topstitch 90 needles
  • Ruler
  • Temporary marking pen (contrasting to fabric)
  • Point turner, chopstick, or similar tool for turning corners
  • Small scissors

• Sewing Machine:

  • Power cord
  • Foot control
  • Bobbins
